The staff of Sunburst is sad to report that Peter Bergman of The Firesign Theatre died this past week at the age of 72. Peter along with the other founding Firesign comedy troupe members: Phil Proctor, Phil Austin and David Ossman recorded and mixed three brilliant albums here at Sunburst for Rhino Records between 1998 and 2001. Their recording "The Bride of Firesign" was a Grammy finalist in 2001 for best comedy album.
The comedy and radio world lost a great artist with the passing of Peter… he will be missed by us along with his friends and fans throughout the world.
